Karacaören Waterfall

Karacaören Waterfall is a natural water formation located in the rural area of Karacaören Village, within the district of Salıpazarı, in the province of Samsun, Türkiye. Situated approximately 11 kilometres from the district centre, the waterfall forms an integral part of the rural landscape, complemented by the forested and rugged terrain of its surroundings.

Physical Characteristics, Elevation and Flow Structure

Karacaören Waterfall is a striking natural feature that cascades down a steep, rocky terrain at an elevation of approximately 830 metres. With an average height of 92 metres, the waterfall adapts to the steep topography of its valley, forming a stepped appearance, and contributes to the creation of a microclimate surrounded by dense forest cover.

Access Routes, Walking Trail and Visitor Accessibility

Access to Karacaören Waterfall is provided via a nature trail that begins in Karacaören Mahallesi and is largely traversed on foot. The route allows vehicle access up to a certain point, after which visitors must continue along a forest path. This trail, with its uneven gradients, natural surfaces and stony ground, is regarded as particularly suitable for hiking and trekking activities.
