Körebe (Film)

Körebe is a 1985 Turkish dramatic film directed by Ömer Kavur and starring Türkan Şoray and Cihan Ünal in the leading roles. The screenplay, written by Ömer Kavur and Barış Pirhasan, explores themes of individual loneliness loss and emotional closeness.

Plot

The film tells the dramatic story of Meral a widow who lives with her young daughter Elif. One day Elif suddenly disappears. Despite all her efforts Meral is unable to find her. Meral’s former husband Halis and her lawyer Turgay join the search. Over time an emotional bond develops between Meral and Turgay. While grappling with the loss of her daughter Meral also confronts these new feelings emerging in her life.
