KUAN is a musical group founded in 2011 by Demircan Demir and Barkın Çoruh, dedicated to performing Turkish ethnic music. Emerging as part of the Kök Müzik Projesi, the group later expanded with the addition of Tahir Ayne and Çağrı Akoğlu. KUAN blends traditional Turkish folk and ethnic music with modern arrangements, aiming to create a distinctive sound using traditional instruments such as the bağlama, kaval, and percussion. KUAN was established in Istanbul in 2011 by Demircan Demir and Barkın Çoruh under the Kök Müzik Projesi.
