Hanım is a 1989 Turkish drama film directed by Halit Refiğ and written by Nezihe Araz and Halit Refiğ, starring Yıldız Kenter in the lead role.

Plot

Olcay Hanım (Yıldız Kenter), a descendant of an Ottoman pasha who lost her husband, a captain, in a maritime accident years earlier, struggles with the fear of death. This fear is deepened by a diagnosis of uterine cancer. However, her deepest fear is her cat, the companion she has lived with for years and named after herself. The film revolves around themes of fear of death, loneliness, and coming to terms with the past.
