MAR is a mobile air defense search radar developed by ASELSAN. It is designed to detect and track low-altitude aerial targets. It enhances the early warning and threat assessment capabilities of air defense systems. Operating in the X-band, the radar provides 3D target information and is particularly effective against UAVs, helicopters, and low-flying aircraft. Thanks to its high mobility, it can quickly adapt to tactical field conditions and be deployed in a short time. Utilizing advanced Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) technology, MAR can simultaneously track multiple targets. MAR is primarily developed to operate in integration with air defense systems such as KORKUT and HISAR. With its domestically developed software infrastructure, it provides tactical flexibility and reduces dependency on foreign technology.
MAR continuously scans the airspace with a range of over 70 km to detect, track, and classify hostile elements. It can swiftly and reliably analyze threats such as fixed or rotary-wing aircraft, UAVs, helicopters, and air-to-ground missiles. It shares the generated 3D air picture with connected command and control systems in real time and can also receive commands from them. If necessary, it can operate independently.
