PARS IV 6x6 Special Operations Vehicle (SOV)

PARS IV 6x6 Special Operations Vehicle is a wheeled armored combat vehicle developed by FNSS to meet the tactical and operational requirements of special mission security forces. Designed for use in both symmetric and asymmetric combat environments, the vehicle combines superior survivability and mobility with advanced mission-specific equipment.

The PARS IV 6x6 Special Operations Vehicle is capable of effective mobility across diverse terrains, including urban and rural areas, under all weather conditions and during both day and night operations. It is designed to transport special operations teams to target zones where multiple threats may be present and to provide fire support to units in the field. Wide-angle visibility is achieved through periscopes located in the front section, while a next-generation electronic camera infrastructure provides 360° situational awareness for the entire crew and commander. These systems enable the driver to operate the vehicle under all conditions with hatches closed and full protection.

The vehicle’s drivetrain is all-wheel drive with a three-axle configuration. The steering capability of the first and third axles enhances maneuverability, particularly in urban environments.

The PARS IV 6x6 Special Operations Vehicle complies with STANAG 4569 standards for ballistic, mine and improvised explosive device (IED) protection. The vehicle is also equipped with an RPG net and an optional laser warning system. Standard equipment includes 12 smoke grenade launchers, a fire detection system, an automatic fire suppression system, CBRN protection, and an air conditioning system.

The PARS IV 6x6 Special Operations Vehicle is armed with two remotely controlled turrets, one at the front and one at the rear. These turrets can be operated simultaneously and are stabilized systems. The weapon stations feature a multi-purpose mount capable of accommodating 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm machine guns as well as a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher. Thanks to a two-axis stabilization system, accurate firing is possible while the vehicle is in motion. The high elevation angles of the weapon systems enable effective engagement against upper floors of buildings, elevated positions in valleys, and low-altitude aerial targets.

Optionally, integration of the 25 mm SABER UKK and smart ammunition systems is available.

The vehicle is standardly equipped with a 360° situational awareness system, a driver’s vision system, a battlefield management system, a navigation system, and communication equipment supported by VHF/UHF radios. The crew communication system is integrated with an electrical system compliant with MIL STD 1275 and MIL STD 461 standards. An optional auxiliary power unit (APU) can also be integrated.
