Insidious is a 2010 American supernatural horror film directed by James Wan. The film tells the story of a family thrown into terror when their young son falls into a coma and they begin experiencing unexplainable and terrifying events in their new home.

Plot

The Lambert family is shaken shortly after moving into a new house when their eldest son, Dalton, mysteriously falls into a coma. Strange and frightening occurrences begin in the house, seemingly linked to Dalton’s condition. Initially believing the house is haunted by malevolent spirits, the family eventually seeks help from a medium and discovers a horrifying truth: Dalton’s spirit has become trapped in a metaphysical plane known as “The Further,” a realm inhabited by the dead. This leaves Dalton’s comatose body vulnerable to possession by demonic entities. The family is forced to undertake a courageous journey into this unknown dimension to rescue their child.
