Bilim Türkiye, Türkiye Teknoloji Takımı Vakfı (T3 Vakfı) under the vision of the National Technology Initiative, is a science center project launched in 2020 to promote science and technology. The project aims to enhance science communication by making science and technology accessible to broad audiences, increase children’s and youth’s interest in science and technology, develop scientific thinking skills, and cultivate productive individuals inclined toward teamwork.

Areas in Science Centers

The Bilim Türkiye project includes seven distinct workshop themes: Technology, Astronomy & Aviation, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Design, Entrepreneurship, and Agricultural Technologies. These workshops provide hands-on education for students aged 6 to 14. In addition to workshops, Bilim Türkiye centers feature exhibition areas with interactive experimental setups that allow students to explore theoretical concepts through touch, as well as dome-shaped planetarium areas where immersive films visualize abstract concepts.

Technology Workshop

Technology Workshop develops students’ problem-solving skills by teaching them the foundational algorithmic thinking required for coding. It also enables them to understand electronic circuits and mechanical systems as integrated wholes through various educational kits.

Designed using a project-based learning approach, the workshops enable students to become creators rather than mere consumers. Through projects in robotics programming, 3D design, animation, mobile app development, renewable energy technologies, and product development, students strengthen their creative thinking and engineering skills.

These workshops offer a powerful educational experience that not only increases students’ interest in technology but also prepares them for the world of the future.

Astronomy & Aviation Workshop

Astronomy and Aviation Workshops enable students to explore scientific principles such as matter, fundamental forces, aerodynamics, and avionics systems through engaging experiments and interactive activities.

In these workshops, exciting topics such as galaxies, the Solar System, exoplanets, constellations, spacecraft, and life in space are explored through inquiry-based learning. Students learn the operating principles of various aerial vehicles—including gliders, parachutes, airplanes, unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters, and rockets—through simulations and modeling.

Thus, students gain a holistic understanding of science and technology and are prepared for the future of space and aviation.

Mathematics Workshop

Mathematics Workshops aim to foster a positive attitude toward mathematics by enabling students to develop their own solutions to everyday problems.

In these workshops, students use computer-assisted applications, mobile tools, simulations, and 3D modeling to better understand geometric and algebraic concepts. They explore fundamental mathematical ideas such as natural numbers, integers, fractions, angles, area, and volume by connecting them to daily life.

Students develop STEM projects through engaging interdisciplinary activities such as the Perfume Workshop, Mimar Sinan Workshop, and Pattern Workshop, producing individually or in teams.

As a result, mathematics becomes for students not merely a subject but a powerful tool for understanding and encouraging exploration of life.

Natural Sciences Workshop

Natural Sciences Workshops aim to help students explore fundamental sciences such as physics, chemistry, and biology, and develop the ability to read nature through a scientific lens.

Students participate in engaging and educational activities such as the Seed Workshop, Bird Workshop, Chemistry at Home Workshop, and Unfalling Structures Workshop. Through experiments, observations, and discovery-oriented activities, they experience the enjoyable world of science and cultivate curiosity.

Natural Sciences Workshops contribute to shaping students into individuals who question, explore, and integrate science into their lives.

Design Workshop

Scientific research has shown that art education enhances creativity, academic achievement, motor skills, self-confidence, determination, and focus. Individuals engaged in art embark on meaningful journeys of self-discovery.

Design Workshops offer multifaceted activities that allow students to freely express their creativity and enjoy the process of production. Students engage in various art forms such as traditional Turkish arts like illumination, marbling, and miniature painting, as well as stone painting, wire dolls, ceramics, coloring, and weaving, gaining opportunities for self-expression and developing an artistic perspective.

These workshops enable students to enrich their imagination and strengthen their aesthetic perception through art and design.

Entrepreneurship Workshop

In an ever-evolving, competitive, and globalized world, generating new ideas and starting businesses through risk-taking is no longer a choice but an inevitable necessity. It is therefore crucial to cultivate innovative, foresighted, leadership-oriented, and courageous entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship Workshop aims to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in young students. In the workshop, students work on fundamental topics such as idea generation, initiative-taking, risk analysis, cost calculation, and market research, preparing them to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs.

This workshop fosters students’ creative thinking skills while strengthening their courage and leadership qualities.

Agricultural Technologies Workshop

As technology advances, the world is undergoing rapid change and transformation. However, research indicates that this transformation may also bring environmental challenges. Therefore, it is vital to nurture generations who love, protect, and act consciously toward nature for a sustainable world and economy.

Agricultural Technologies Workshops aim to help students explore the relationship between agriculture and technology and encourage them to develop innovative and sustainable solutions. In the workshop, students acquire agricultural knowledge while learning through experience how software, automation, and smart farming technologies can be integrated into agricultural practices.

Thus, students develop projects capable of shaping the future of agriculture and discover ways to produce in harmony with nature.

Planetarium and Exhibition Areas

In addition to workshops, Bilim Türkiye centers feature exhibition areas equipped with interactive experimental setups that allow students to explore science through touch. These areas enable students to learn scientific concepts through direct experience.

Additionally, planetarium areas present abstract concepts in tangible forms, offering an inspiring learning environment for students eager to explore the night sky and the depths of the universe.

Educational Options

In centers implementing the Bilim Türkiye Education Program, educational options are offered to students aged 6 to 14:

  • Hourly Workshops
  • Long-Term Programs
  • Thematic Workshops
  • Non-Workshop Special Events
  • Interactive Exhibition Tours
  • Planetarium Experience

More than 600 original workshop contents, specially developed for the Bilim Türkiye project and enriched with technological learning tools, are implemented in all centers. Guided by the principle of equal opportunity, all centers maintain identical workshop concepts, educational content, and training equipment.

Scale and Internationalization

As of 2025, the Bilim Türkiye Education Program is implemented in five countries, 15 cities, and 29 centers. Between 2020 and 2025, all activities conducted across the 29 centers reached 5,272,849 people.

The project gained an international dimension in 2022 with the opening of the Bilim Bakı center in Baku, Azerbaijan. This center is the first to implement the Bilim Türkiye education program outside Türkiye. In subsequent years, new centers were opened in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, and Montenegro.
