Serdivan Gölpark

Serdivan Gölpark is a recreational and nature tourism area located in the Sakarya district of Serdivan, on the northern shore of Sapanca Lake. The park is situated 11 kilometers from the city center along the İzmit E-5 highway. Access to the area, which is positioned directly beside the lake and surrounded by forested zones, is provided via asphalt roads and is accessible year-round by urban transportation vehicles.

In response to increasing urbanization and degradation of the natural environment aroundSapanca Lake, the Serdivan Municipality developed the area as an alternative for domestic tourism. It was opened to the public in 2013, established on the northeastern shores of the lake where construction is less dense compared to the western sections, to meet recreational needs.

Serdivan Gölpark offers visitors facilities including a cafeteria, walking paths, picnic and barbecue areas, children’s playgrounds, and observation piers. The main activities conducted in the area include walking, relaxation, and sightseeing. Additionally, various events such as concerts, musical performances, and talks are organized at different times throughout the year. Due to its scenic lake views, the area is also used as a venue for sunset viewing and photography sessions, particularly for wedding photography.
