

Tarik Biberović was born on January 28, 2001, in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. His family originates from Novi Pazar, Serbia. His father, Izudin Biberović, is a former basketball player who once played for Celik Zenica. The family’s sporting background influenced Tarik’s early exposure to basketball.
Biberović stands 2.02 meters tall and plays as a shooting guard and small forward. His physical attributes include height, long arms, and long strides, which enable him to fulfill diverse roles on both offense and defense.
Biberović began his basketball career with OKK Spars Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the 2016–2017 season, he attracted attention during the Adidas Next Generation Tournament, where he averaged 17.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 blocks in four games, playing an average of 32 minutes per game. That same season, he appeared in six games in the Bosnia and Herzegovina League, averaging 4.5 points. He also played in various international tournaments, drawing interest from European clubs.
In the summer of 2017, at age 16, Biberović contacted Fenerbahçe and was invited to join the club’s preparatory camp following his performance at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Belgrade. He scored 11 points in a preseason game against Iran’s Petrochimi Bandar Imam. He subsequently signed a five-year contract with Fenerbahçe.
In his early years, Biberović struggled to secure regular playing time, but gradually strengthened his position within the team. His minutes increased notably after Sarunas Jasikevicius became head coach. The Lithuanian coach utilized Biberović in multiple positions, contributing to his development. In the 2024–2025 season, he played 27 games in the Turkey Insurance Basketball Super League and 34 games in the THY EuroLeague, establishing himself as a consistent contributor.
In 2025, Biberović won the THY EuroLeague title with Fenerbahçe Beko. The yellow-and-navy team defeated Monaco in the final to claim the trophy, with Biberović emerging as one of the team’s standout performers.
Tarik Biberović played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U16 National Team in 2016. Under FIBA rules, a player who has represented a country at the youth level may only play for another nation’s senior team under a naturalization status. Therefore, Biberović represents the Türkiye National Basketball Team under naturalization status. He competed in the 2023 World Cup qualifiers against Italy and Iceland. Against Italy, he was the team’s top scorer; against Iceland, he sealed the victory with a last-second basket.
Tarik Biberović was selected in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies. He has stated that the most meaningful path for him would be to win the THY EuroLeague title with Fenerbahçe before moving to the NBA.
Tarik Biberović lives in Istanbul. He learned Turkish as a second language and is also fluent in English. He plans to study Spanish and French. His brother, Faruk Biberović, plays for Fenerbahçe Koleji Novotel. In his free time, he is interested in cage fighting.
