The Conjuring (Now You See Me); directed by Louis Leterrier and written by Ed Solomon Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt is a 2013 American crime and thriller film. The story follows an FBI agent and an Interpol detective as they pursue a group of four magicians known as "The Four Horsemen" who perform bank robberies during their shows and distribute the stolen money to the audience. Released on 31 May 2013 by Summit Entertainment the film earned $351.7 million worldwide against a budget of $75 million paving the way for its sequel.^【1】

Four skilled magicians—J. Daniel Atlas Merritt McKinney Henley Reeves and Jack Wilder—are directed to the same apartment in New York through a set of playing cards received from an anonymous individual. There they encounter a holographic message and reunite a year later in Las Vegas for a grand stage performance sponsored by insurance magnate Arthur Tressler.

Calling themselves "The Four Horsemen" the group commits an actual bank robbery in front of the audience during their show emptying the vault of a bank in Paris and distributing the stolen cash to spectators. Following this event FBI Agent Dylan Rhodes and Interpol Detective Alma Dray begin pursuing the group. Yet the Horsemen consistently stay one step ahead leaving clues to their next moves with each performance. The identity of the mysterious organization behind the group and the secret society known as "The Eye" remains unanswered until the film’s final moments.
