Ulaş Tuna Astepe is a Turkish theater, film, and television actor. Known in Türkiye primarily for his roles in television series, Astepe continues his acting career with a foundation in theater training. Throughout his artistic life, he has participated in various projects across theater, television, and cinema, working with multiple production companies and television channels, and continues to do so.

Birth and Personal Life

Ulaş Tuna Astepe was born on 5 May 1988 in the İzmit district of Kocaeli. Originally from Kocaeli, Astepe completed his primary and secondary education in İzmit and attended high school as a boarder at Istanbul Boys High School. He began acting in theater during high school and completed his higher education in the Theater Department at the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.

Career

A theater-trained actor, Astepe began his stage career with performances in plays such as “Bayrak and Babamın Cesetleri”, written and directed by Berkun Oya, and “Cam Yapraklar”, directed by Sami Berat Marçalı.

He began his acting career in 2008 as a costume assistant on the film Osmanlı Cumhuriyeti. He later started appearing as an actor in theater and television projects.

His first acting role was in the 2012 television series “Karadayı”, where he portrayed the character “Orhan Kara” and attracted audience attention.

He then took on a leading role as “Mustafa” in the series “Analar ve Anneler”. In 2017, he portrayed the character “Alaz Noyan” in the Show TV series “Rüya”; however, the project that brought him widespread recognition was his portrayal of “Tahir Kaleli” in the ATV series “Sen Anlat Karadeniz”, which aired between 2018 and 2019.

Between 2021 and 2022, he played the role of “Hızır Reis” in the historical series “Barbaroslar: Akdeniz’in Kılıcı”, broadcast on TRT 1. In 2022, he portrayed the character “Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barış Güvener” in the Show TV medical drama “Hayat Bugün”. In his first project on a digital platform, he portrayed the character “Cihan Alaca” in the 2024 season of the BluTV series “İlk ve Son”. He returned to screens in the MF Yapım series “Çift Kişilik Oda”, produced for NOW, as “Kaan Tunca”.

The actor currently portrays the character “Adil Koçari” in the series “Taşacak Bu Deniz”, which began airing in 2025 on TRT 1.
