Vitaminka was founded in 1956 in Prilep, initially focusing on the production of ground red pepper. For the first 18 years, this remained its sole product. In 1974, the company expanded its product range, establishing itself as a significant player in North Macedonia's food industry. During the 1990s, the dissolution of Yugoslavia led to a contraction in export markets. However, in the 2000s, Vitaminka modernized its production facilities with the assistance of loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), enhancing its export capacity.
