White Angel (Film)

Beyaz Melek is a 2007 Turkish drama film written and directed by Mahsun Kırmızıgül.

The film centers on the story of Mala Ahmet, an elderly Kurdish former tribal leader undergoing cancer treatment, who escapes from the hospital and takes refuge in a nursing home. His sons, Ali and Reşat, wish to have their father properly treated; however, Ahmet flees the painful effects of chemotherapy and moves into the nursing home. The residents, believing Ahmet has been abandoned by his family, encourage him to stay. Over time, Ahmet becomes deeply involved in the lives of the residents, forming strong bonds as he learns about their pasts and personal dramas.

The film explores not only the personal journey of an individual but also the social position of the elderly and the bonds they form with one another.
