Zafer Stadium (Kocatepe)

Zafer Stadium is a football stadium located in the province of Afyonkarahisar, place, and is recognized as one of the city’s largest sports complexes modern. Construction of the stadium, which began in 2011, was completed in 2015 and it was officially opened on 21 July 2015 with a preparatory tournament. Teams such as Fenerbahçe, Antalyaspor, Olympiakos and Olympique de Marseille participated in the opening event.

After its opening, the stadium was also known as Afyon Kocatepe Stadium and Afyon Arena for a period short. In 2017, its name was changed back to Zafer Stadium.

Capacity and Features

Stadium has a seating capacity of 14,558 spectators and was constructed in accordance with modern football standards.

Additionally, it was designed to enhance the city’s football infrastructure and planned as a sports center to revitalize sports tourism in Afyon.
