Zodiac (Film)

Zodiac is a 2007 American crime and thriller film directed by David Fincher and written by James Vanderbilt. The film is based on the book of the same name by Robert Graysmith.

The film centers on the investigation into an unidentified serial killer active in late 1960s and early 1970s Northern California, known to the public as the Zodiac. Journalist Robert Graysmith’s interest in the case gradually evolves into a personal investigation. Several journalists from the San Francisco Chronicle and police detectives also become involved in the inquiry. Zodiac explores themes such as an unsolved crime, the relationship between the press and criminality, the pursuit of justice, and the human tendency toward obsession. The narrative examines not only the physical but also the psychological and societal impacts of a crime.
