Devran

Devran comes from the Arabic root dwr, evolving into the Arabic word dawarān (دوران), which entered Turkish. This term is derived from the Arabic verb dāra, meaning “to turn” or “to revolve.” The word fundamentally carries the meanings of “continuous rotation,” “cycle,” and “movement.” Over time, in Turkish it acquired metaphorical meanings such as the order of the world, fate, era, and the changing flow of life.
