Gökhan Delen (born 1992, Akçakent, Aksaray) is a Turkish military officer. He completed his primary, middle, and high school education in Aksaray before enlisting in the military. After completing his training, he passed the examinations conducted by the Ministry of National Defence and was commissioned as a second lieutenant.

Gökhan Delen was commissioned as a second lieutenant after passing the examinations conducted by the Ministry of National Defence. Following his service in that rank, he was promoted to first lieutenant. He commanded operations during the Claw-Lock operation in northern Iraq. He was martyred on 12 January 2024 during a clash with a terrorist organization.

Piyade Üsteğmen Gökhan Delen, who lost his life while serving in the Claw-Lock Operation, was laid to rest in Şırnak with a ceremony held at the 23rd Infantry Division Command alongside eight fellow martyrs. The ceremony was attended by Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler, Chief of the General Staff General Metin Gürak, Commander of the Navy Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, Commander of the Land Forces General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, and Commander of the Air Force General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu. After the ceremony in Şırnak, Gökhan Delen’s body was transported to his hometown of Aksaray.^【1】

After his funeral at the Somoncu Baba Külliyesi in Aksaray, Gökhan Delen’s body was taken to his father’s home for the ritual of helallik, followed by a funeral prayer held at the Ulu Camii in his neighborhood. The funeral ceremony was attended not only by his family and close relatives but also by politicians from various political parties. Among those present were Aksaray Governor Mehmet Ali Kumbuzoğlu, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Security Faruk Özçelik, Ak Party Member of Parliament for Aksaray Hüseyin Altınsoy, MHP Member of Parliament for Aksaray Ramazan Kaşlı, İYİ Party Member of Parliament for Aksaray Turan Yaldır, Mayor Evren Dinçer, Chief Public Prosecutor Adem Aydemir, Director General of the General Directorate of Martyrs’ Families and Veterans at the Ministry of Family and Social Services Muharrem Kurt, and former Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Ali Rıza Alaboyun.

Following his martyrdom, Gökhan Delen’s name has been commemorated in numerous institutions. Examples include memorial mevlid ceremonies held in his honor and the library established at Hacı Cumali Uğur Primary School, the school he attended.^【2】
