Ramazan Günay (born 1998, Konak, İzmir) is a Turkish military officer. He completed his primary, middle, and high school education in İzmir before beginning his military undergraduate studies at the Army War College on 17 August 2017.

On 17 August 2017, he began his military and undergraduate education at the Army War College in the Anafartalar Battalion. He graduated from the Anafartalar Battalion of the Army War College on 30 August 2021 and continued his education at the Tuzla Infantry School to complete his class officer training. After finishing his training at the Tuzla Infantry School, he commenced his first assignment with the Hakkari Mountain Commando Brigade.

During his service, he was killed in action during a clash with members of a terrorist organization as part of the Claw-Lock Operation in northern Iraq, becoming a martyr.

Piyade Teğmen Ramazan Günay, who lost his life during the Claw-Lock Operation, was honored alongside his five fallen comrades in a ceremony held in Hakkari. He was then received in Afyonkarahisar by Governor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı, Commandant of the Supply and Garrison Command Brigadier General Numan Yöner, Mayor Mehmet Zeybek, and military and political officials. ^【1】

Following a ceremony at the airport, his body was transported with a military convoy to the morgue of Afyonkarahisar State Hospital. The funeral prayer was led by Afyonkarahisar Provincial Mufti Lütfü İmamoğlu after the noon prayer. At the request of his family, his remains were buried in the family cemetery in Sinanpaşa Çalışlar Village. ^【2】

After his martyrdom, Ramazan Günay’s family received visits from political figures, memorial prayers were held in his name, and efforts were made to ensure his name would be remembered.
