TEKNOFEST Drone Championship

TEKNOFEST Drone Championship is a drone competition held under the TEKNOFEST initiative, open to individual participants. This competition emphasizes high speed, advanced technology, and piloting skills, and is recognized as a technological contest held both in Türkiye and internationally.

The TEKNOFEST Drone Championship aims to provide a platform for individuals interested in drone technology to demonstrate their technical knowledge and skills. Through this competition, participants gain an opportunity to enhance their abilities and reach a level where they can represent Türkiye on the international stage. The championship also seeks to guide young people toward careers in aviation and space technologies.

The competition is organized on an individual participation basis. All participants compete using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with FPV (First Person View) camera systems, calibrated to operate on specified frequencies. UAVs must have a size between 180 mm and 250 mm and must be constructed in accordance with technical requirements. Video transmitters may only be activated during time windows designated by event officials. Pilots are required to comply with all technical and safety regulations during the competition. The format follows an elimination system. In the initial qualifying rounds, participants achieving the fastest times advance to the elimination rounds. During this phase, participants strive to outperform their rivals by applying speed, reflexes, and technical expertise.

One of the most significant rewards of the TEKNOFEST Drone Championship is the opportunity to qualify for the World Drone Cup. Participants who successfully complete all stages and achieve a ranking earn the chance to represent Türkiye at the international level.
