The Place of TEKNOFEST in Our Lives

TEKNOFEST… Just hearing its name sparks a spark of excitement within us. Because this festival is not merely an event; it is a vision, a dream, a journey. For me, TEKNOFEST is the most visible and strongest manifestation of my connection with technology.

As a child, technology always seemed somewhat “distant.” Robots, rockets, airplanes… Yes, we watched them on television, but they felt like things beyond our reach. The first time I saw TEKNOFEST, what I felt was this: “No, you can do it too. You can create too.” In that moment, I took my first step away from being a spectator and onto the path of becoming a creator.

TEKNOFEST taught me this: Technology does not emerge only in large laboratories or giant corporations. Sometimes it is born in the workshop of a small school, sometimes in the minds of two friends, and sometimes amid seemingly impossible circumstances. That is why every project I saw there reminded me of what “determination and belief” can achieve.

As a scholarship recipient, a volunteer, and someone with a DENEYAP background, being present in the festival grounds and guiding students at booths brings me immeasurable joy. That sparkle in children’s eyes… Hearing a child say, “When I grow up, I want to make something like this,” is more valuable to me than winning any competition. Because the true meaning of TEKNOFEST lies not only in trophies but in these small moments of inspiration.

TEKNOFEST also means a spirit of unity. Young people working day and night in teams, supported by their teachers and encouraged by their families’ prayers… We are all united by the same purpose: to contribute to the National Technology Initiative. And I know this spirit does not remain confined to the festival grounds; it spreads into the rest of our lives, strengthening our studies, our work, and our dreams.

For me, TEKNOFEST is like a roadmap. Every booth, every project, every conversation shows me a new direction. Perhaps one day I will work on artificial intelligence, perhaps I will join a project in aviation, or perhaps I will continue inspiring students. But whatever path I take, TEKNOFEST has taught me one thing: There are no limits to dreams. If you believe and work hard, your story can be written here too.

TEKNOFEST shapes not only today but also our future. We are fortunate to be part of this journey as young people. Because there is no greater pride than one day looking back and saying, “I was part of the National Technology Initiative.”
