Trendyol Süper Lig 2025–26 Season

Trendyol Süper Lig 2025–2026 season began on 8 August 2025 with the participation of 18 teams and concluded on 17 May 2026 with the completion of the 34th and final matchweek. The champion of the season was Galatasaray, who accumulated 77 points. Fenerbahçe finished second with 74 points and Trabzonspor came third with 69 points. Zecorner Kayserispor, Mısırlı.com.tr Fatih Karagümrük and Hesap.com Antalyaspor were the three teams relegated from the league. A total of 306 matches were played, resulting in 812 goals and an average of 2.65 goals per match.

The season consisted of 34 matchweeks played under a double round-robin league system involving 18 teams. Across the 306 matches, home teams won 42 percent of games, away teams won 29 percent and 29 percent ended in draws. The average number of yellow cards per match was 4.67 and red cards per match was 0.22.

Galatasaray finished the 2025–2026 Trendyol Süper Lig season in first place with 77 points, securing their 25th Süper Lig title in club history. The yellow-and-red team recorded 24 wins, 5 draws and 5 losses in 34 matches, finishing the league with a goal difference of +47.

Galatasaray clinched the title before the final matchweek. In the 34th and final matchweek, the yellow-and-red team lost 1-0 away to Kasımpaşa, ending the season with a defeat.

All five of Galatasaray's defeats this season occurred away from home. In their 17 away league matches, the yellow-and-red team secured 11 wins and 1 draw, losing to Kocaelispor, TÜMOSAN Konyaspor, Trabzonspor, Samsunspor and Kasımpaşa on the road. At home, Galatasaray remained undefeated throughout the entire season.

During the season, Galatasaray also fielded several young players. Ada Yüzgeç and Can Armando Güner made their Süper Lig debuts for the yellow-and-red team in the final matchweek.

Fenerbahçe finished the 2025–2026 season in second place with 74 points from 21 wins, 11 draws and 2 losses. The yellow-and-navy team drew 3-3 with ikas Eyüpspor at the Chobani Stadium in their final match, ending the season with a point loss.

Fenerbahçe did not suffer a single defeat at home during the season. In their 17 home matches, the yellow-and-navy side recorded 11 wins and 6 draws, preserving their unbeaten home record in Kadıköy.

Throughout the season, national team player Kerem Aktürkoğlu stood out with 8 league goals. He scored a double against Eyüpspor and finished the season with a total of 15 goals. Brazilian midfielder Fred Rodrigues, despite limited starts, emerged as a key performer by scoring 3 goals in the final three matches.

Fenerbahçe's wait for a league title has now extended to 12 years.

Trabzonspor finished the 2025–2026 season in third place with 69 points from 20 wins, 9 draws and 5 losses. This was the highest point total for the Black Sea club since their 2021–2022 championship season (81 points).

Trabzonspor's point totals in recent seasons are as follows: 57 points in 36 matches in 2022–2023, 67 points in 38 matches in 2023–2024 and 51 points in 36 matches in 2024–2025.

A notable feature of this season was that Trabzonspor earned more points away from home than at home. The maroon-and-blue team collected 36 points from 11 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses in 17 away matches, and 33 points from 9 wins, 6 draws and 2 losses in 17 home matches. With this performance, Trabzonspor became the team with the most away points in the league this season.

Under head coach Fatih Tekke, Trabzonspor completed the entire season with an average of 2.02 points per match. The Black Sea club ended a 930-day winless streak in big matches by defeating Galatasaray 2-1 at home in the 28th matchweek, and followed it up by beating Beşiktaş 2-1 in Istanbul.

Following the league season, Trabzonspor also reached the final of the Ziraat Türkiye Kupası. Their final against Konyaspor is scheduled for Friday, 22 May 2026 in Antalya.

Beşiktaş finished the 2025–2026 season in fourth place with 60 points from 17 wins, 9 draws and 8 losses. The black-and-white team accumulated 31 points at home and 29 points away, finishing 17 points behind champions Galatasaray.

Beşiktaş began the season under head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. After an early exit from European competitions, the club parted ways with Solskjaer and appointed Sergen Yalçın as manager. Solskjaer managed a total of seven official matches, six in European competitions and one in the Süper Lig.

In European competition, Beşiktaş were eliminated by Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers and continued in the UEFA Conference League. After defeating Ireland's St. Patrick's in the third qualifying round, they were eliminated by Swiss side Lausanne in the play-off round, ending their European campaign.

Sergen Yalçın, in his second stint, managed 33 league matches and 6 Turkish Cup matches, recording 20 wins, 10 draws and 9 losses. Beşiktaş earned only 2 points in their six matches against Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor, failing to win any of these big matches for the first time in 41 years.

Beşiktaş have not finished in the top two of the league in the last five seasons. Their last league title was in the 2020–2021 season.

Beşiktaş, who topped their group in the Ziraat Türkiye Kupası and advanced past Alanyaspor in the quarterfinals, were eliminated by Konyaspor in the semifinals.

Symbolic player Necip Uysal announced in December 2025 that he would retire at the end of the season. Having played 466 official matches for Beşiktaş, Uysal worked under 18 head coaches and six presidents in his career. The experienced player was removed from the squad mid-season and trained separately from the team.

Three teams were relegated from the Trendyol Süper Lig this season: Zecorner Kayserispor, Mısırlı.com.tr Fatih Karagümrük and Hesap.com Antalyaspor. Kayserispor and Karagümrük's relegation was confirmed before the final matchweek. Antalyaspor entered the final matchweek in danger of relegation and, despite defeating Kocaelispor 1-0, finished 16th with 32 points due to results elsewhere, becoming the third relegated team.

Hesap.com Antalyaspor accumulated 32 points from 8 wins, 8 draws and 18 losses in the 2025–2026 season, marking their sixth relegation from the Süper Lig. The Mediterranean club worked with three different head coaches during the season: Emre Belözoğlu, Erol Bulut and Sami Uğurlu.

Antalyaspor first reached the Süper Lig in the 1981–82 season. Since then, they have been relegated six times: in 1984–85, 1986–87, 2001–02, 2006–07, 2013–14 and 2025–26. In total, they have competed in 30 Süper Lig seasons. Antalyaspor were promoted to the top flight in 2015 by defeating Samsunspor 4–1 on penalties and remained in the top division without interruption until the end of the 2025–2026 season.

Antalyaspor's best finish in the Süper Lig was fifth place. Their most emphatic victory was a 7–0 win against Trabzonspor, while their heaviest defeats were 6–0 losses to Beşiktaş and Gençlerbirliği.

Kasımpaşa secured their place in the Süper Lig by defeating champions Galatasaray 1–0 in their final match. Playing under assistant coach İlker Püren due to head coach Emre Belözoğlu's suspension, the navy-and-white team took the lead in the 27th minute through a goal by Adrian Benedyczak and held on to win, earning three crucial points. This victory lifted Kasımpaşa to 35 points and guaranteed their survival.

Polish striker Adrian Benedyczak, signed on loan from Italy's Parma during the winter transfer window, played a decisive role in Kasımpaşa's survival by scoring 10 goals in just half a season.

Natura Dünyası Gençlerbirliği secured their place in the league by defeating Trabzonspor 3–0 away in the 34th matchweek. The Ankara side earned six points in their last two matches to finish 14th with 34 points.

In the final match, Adama Traoré scored in the 45th minute, Franco Tongya in the 88th minute and Metehan Mimaroğlu in the 90+3rd minute to secure Gençlerbirliği's 3–0 victory.

Gençlerbirliği experienced a highly turbulent season in terms of management and coaching staff. The club had three different presidents during the season: Osman Sungur, Mehmet Kaya and Haydar Arda Çakmak, and changed head coaches five times. The club was managed in sequence by Hüseyin Eroğlu, Volkan Demirel (first term), Metin Diyadin, Levent Şahin and Volkan Demirel (second term), with Metin Diyadin returning to the role mid-season.

İkas Eyüpspor secured their place in the league by drawing 3–3 with Fenerbahçe in their final away match. After falling behind 2–0, they equalized in the 87th minute through a goal by Talha Ülvan, earning a vital point. This result lifted Eyüpspor to 33 points and guaranteed their continued presence in the Süper Lig.

The goal came when Talha Ülvan's shot struck Fenerbahçe defender Jayden Oosterwolde after a pass from Rotariu. Eyüpspor head coach Atila Gerin highlighted the club's ability to motivate the squad despite economic and structural challenges throughout the season.

The top scorers of the 2025–2026 Trendyol Süper Lig season were Paul Onuachu (Trabzonspor) and Eldor Shomurodov (RAMS Başakşehir), each scoring 22 goals.

In the expected goals (xG) category, Paul Onuachu of Trabzonspor ranked first with 16.94, followed by Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray (16.89) and Talisca of Fenerbahçe (16.30).
