In the 45+1st minute, Fenerbahçe reduced the deficit to 2–1 through an attack completed by Szymanski. The goal was initially disallowed for offside but was later confirmed valid by VAR in the 45+4th minute.

Second Half

In the second half, both Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray launched several attacks. In the 78th minute, a corner won by Galatasaray resulted in Osimhen heading the ball to Torreira, whose shot went wide. In the 90+12th minute, a pass from Dzeko was met by a header from Skriniar that beat the goalkeeper past, but Sanchez cleared the ball over the goal line castle.

Cards and On-Pitch Tensions

A confrontation between Fenerbahçe’s Mert Müldür and Galatasaray’s Osimhen in the 84th minute escalated into a full-scale brawl involving multiple players. Tensions flared again when Barış Alper Yılmaz passed in front of the Fenerbahçe dressing room, leading to incidents that lasted until the 90+4th minute. As a result, Galatasaray’s Kerem Demirbay and Barış Alper Yılmaz, along with Fenerbahçe’s Mert Hakan Ally and assistant coach Salvatore Foti, were sent off with red cards. A total of three red cards and nine yellow cards were shown. Yellow cards were distributed among players from both teams and technical staff.

After the final whistle, Fenerbahçe head coach Jose Mourinho made physical contact with Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk. Following Mourinho’s gesture of reaching toward Buruk’s face event, a period of heightened tension short ensued.

Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen, playing for Galatasaray, scored both goals to secure his team’s passage to the semifinals. With these goals, his total goal tally rose to 28. The striker, who had previously netted 20 goals in 23 Süper Lig matches and six goals in seven UEFA Europe matches, scored his first goal in the Ziraat Türkiye Kupası.

Fenerbahçe player Sebastian Szymanski scored his team’s only goal, which determined the final score. This was his first goal in the cup competition.
