Konuralp Ancient Theatre – Kemerkasım Aqueducts Walking Park, located in Düzce Province, Türkiye, is a walking route that encompasses the ruins of the ancient city of Prusias ad Hypium. The park is highlighted as a path where historical and cultural heritage elements are integrated with nature.

Historical Context and Archaeological Structures

The Konuralp Ancient City contains the remains of Prusias ad Hypium, a settlement established during the Hellenistic period under the Kingdom of Bithynia and later flourishing as an important urban center during the Roman era. Within this area, the Konuralp Ancient Theatre is one of the largest surviving Roman theatres in Anatolia. Measuring 100 metres in length and 74 metres in width, the theatre features nearly 40 rows of seating and has a capacity of approximately 10,000 spectators. It is notable for its stage building, access corridors, and tiered seating areas.

The Kemerkasım Aqueducts belong to a Roman-era water transport system constructed to supply the ancient city with water. These structures were designed to channel water from the Kozluk (Dokuzpınarlar) spring to Konuralp. The remaining arched sections stand as a significant testament to the engineering expertise of the period.
