Historical Development and Production Process

MKE’s efforts in gas mask production began in the early 2000s. In 2006, the corporation launched a project to manufacture next-generation gas masks and filters. As part of this project, production lines and testing laboratories were established at the MKE Gazi Ammunition Factory in Ankara. The facilities became operational in 2011 and began producing gas mask filters to NATO standards. This infrastructure enabled MKE to develop specialized respiratory protective equipment such as the escape mask.
