New Eskişehir Stadium

The New Eskişehir Stadium, built as the new home of Eskişehirspor, began operations in 2016. Stadium was constructed by TOKİ in the Sazova district of Eskişehir. Its inauguration took place on 20 November 2016 during a TFF 1. Lig match in which Eskişehirspor defeated Yeni Malatyaspor 2–0.

The stadium features a fan-focused design with a capacity of approximately 33,000 spectators. Without a running track, the stands are positioned 10 to 12 metres from the pitch. Game dimensions are set at 105 by 68 metres.

Architectural and Technical Features

The stadium has a two-tiered tribune design and includes a total of 54 private boxes place. The southern facade is composed of a white opaque structure while the northern section incorporates extensive glass to partially open the interior space. A red net has been installed between the Roof and the stands to highlight Eskişehirspor’s colours.

533 seats have been allocated for Press supporters while 1,623 seats are reserved for visiting fans. The open parking area covering 35,310 square metres has a capacity of 1,148 vehicle, and the enclosed parking area of 17,020 square metres provides space for 502 vehicles.

Construction and Inauguration Process

Construction of the stadium began in 2012 but was delayed for various reasons, causing the opening to be postponed from 2015 to the end of 2016. After opening, some quality issues were reported regarding the pitch surface and furnishings.

In 2020, heavy snow rainfall caused damage to the roof, roof supports, and tensioning rods. The stadium was closed until renovation works were completed by the Eskişehir Governorate.

Location and Transportation

The New Eskişehir Stadium is located in the Sazova neighbourhood, near Eskişehir Sazova Park. Its proximity to the City centre ensures easy access by public transport and private vehicles.
