YILDIRIM-100 DIRCM System

YILDIRIM-100 is a directed infrared countermeasure (DIRCM) system developed by ASELSAN. It is designed to protect platforms against infrared-guided missiles. Based on advanced electro-optical and laser technologies, this system features a dual-turret configuration. Each turret contains a precision tracking unit and a high-power laser unit. This configuration enables the system to provide effective countermeasures by applying synchronized, multi-band modulated laser beams to threat elements.

YILDIRIM-100 disrupts / confuses the seeker head of heat-seeking missiles targeting air platforms by sending multi-band laser energy, thereby changing the missile's direction. The system is fully compatible with UV/IR-based missile warning systems.

YILDIRIM-100 maintains its effectiveness under various threat scenarios, and the system's high-precision threat detection capability, combined with its fast response time, provides all-aspect protection for platforms. Thanks to its compact design, the system is lightweight, and it also stands out for its low power consumption and reduced life cycle cost.

YILDIRIM-100, which can work in conjunction with other defense elements on the platform, provides effective protection against MANPADs (Man-Portable Air-Defense Systems) and heat-seeking missiles in particular. The system's field tests have been successfully completed, and this system, which has elevated Türkiye to a leading position in laser-based countermeasure technology, provides significant operational advantages.
