SAHA 2026 Opening Ceremony, 5 May 2026 - (Anadolu Ajansı)

Speech by Haluk Bayraktar, Chairman of SAHA Istanbul Board

Haluk Bayraktar, Chairman of SAHA Istanbul Board, stated during the opening ceremony that they were not merely opening a fair but discussing a mindset revolution and a new equation of the global ecosystem. Bayraktar emphasized that the world is at a critical threshold where trade wars have evolved into technological dominance struggles, saying: "Our country and our friends are engaged in an existential struggle at this point. We are jointly demonstrating at SAHA 2026 how the future will be shaped by technology. The world is sharply awakening from the long-standing illusion of free trade. Customs wars and protectionism have become new frontlines of global power competition. Geopolitical tensions, blockages at critical arteries such as the Strait of Hormuz, and volatility in energy costs have revealed how fragile industrial supply chains are. In this new era, national production capacity is not merely an economic choice but a vital resilience test and an inevitable necessity for the survival of states."

SAHA Istanbul Board Chairman Haluk Bayraktar speaking at the SAHA 2026 Opening Ceremony, 5 May 2026 - (Anadolu Ajansı)

Bayraktar drew attention to the fact that the future’s technologies are critically dependent on the supply security of rare earth elements, emphasizing that in this new era where supply is used as a geopolitical weapon, resource diversity and technological independence have become one of the most critical building blocks of national security. Highlighting that the nature of warfare has radically changed, he continued:

"The situation we witnessed in Ukraine tells us that modern warfare manifests itself as the sum of technology and industrial production capacity. In recent times, especially unmanned platforms and drone usage have become central to conventional warfare. The 127-fold increase in drone usage on the battlefield is the most concrete proof that military doctrines are now being rewritten around autonomous systems. Türkiye is not merely an observer of this change but one of its strongest pioneers."

Bayraktar noted that global defense expenditures have reached a historic peak of $2.9 trillion with an annual growth rate of 8.1 percent, indicating that the world now views defense not as an expense but as a vital existential insurance. He stated that 73 percent of these expenditures are made by only 10 countries and that Türkiye, with its 14 percent growth rate and strategic depth, is increasingly becoming a game-changing producer.

Bayraktar stated that the 116 percent increase in European defense spending reflects the aging continent’s quest for strategic autonomy and emphasized that defense demand has now transcended geographical boundaries, adding that they are not merely exporting products but building trust and strategic partnerships. Bayraktar stated that artificial intelligence is no longer a promise of the future but the most disruptive force on the battlefield, making the following assessment:

"The rapid growth of some companies serving the Pentagon, exceeding 140 percent in a short time, is no coincidence. This technology is becoming a strategic operating system that directs the decision-making mechanisms of states and armies and reconstructs domination through digital codes. We must be cautious; we cannot allow this transformation to drag us into a techno-feudalism that makes us dependent on global lords. For in a system where algorithms and data belong to others, we cannot speak of full sovereignty but only of digital servitude."

Bayraktar emphasized that all these processes constitute a complete value chain extending from human resources to R&D and even financing, highlighting that the strongest link in this chain is qualified human resources. He stated that modern defense doctrine requires a shift from cumbersome development processes to a mobile production paradigm characterized by low unit cost, high volume and rapid battlefield validation.

Local Content Rate and Export Targets

Bayraktar pointed out that the local content rate, which was in the 20 percent range at the beginning of the 2000s, has reached 83 percent thanks to the driving force of the National Technology Initiative, and stated his export target as follows: "We are raising our exports higher every year. Our 2026 target of $13 billion in exports will be one of the seals of Turkish engineering on the world."

Bayraktar emphasized that local industry participation should not be viewed merely as numbers or percentages, saying: "For us, local industry participation is a concrete milestone indicating the rate of full independence. Every technology whose design and algorithm are not ours makes us eligible to become digital colonies of the new world order. The continuous decline in our defense imports is the most concrete proof that the National Technology Initiative is not an empty slogan but a genuine independence doctrine yielding results on the battlefield. We are proud to have surpassed the psychological $10 billion barrier in exports in 2025. In imports, the largest item remains the purchase of passenger aircraft by our national airlines."

When considering civil sectors such as passenger aircraft purchases, Bayraktar made the following assessment: "The real point I want to emphasize here is the quality of our exports. We have transformed from a country that exported only simple components to a technology hub that now shares in high-tech exports ranging from smart munitions to unmanned systems."

SAHA Ecosystem and Fair Statistics

Bayraktar stated that as SAHA Istanbul, they are a large family of more than 1,300 member companies, 30 universities and a network spanning 49 cities, learning and producing together. He added: "SAHA 2026, covering an area of more than 400,000 square meters, is more than a fair; it is a meeting point for minds that will dominate technology. We will host more than 263 leading international companies from over 120 countries at the fair."

SAHA Istanbul Board Chairman Haluk Bayraktar speaking at the SAHA 2026 Opening Ceremony, 5 May 2026 - (Anadolu Ajansı)

Bayraktar emphasized that this massive ecosystem enabling SAHA 2026 is the work of a shared intellect united by the ideal of full independence, and presented the fair statistics as follows: "This year, with an expectation of more than 1,700 participating companies and over 150,000 visitors, we are raising the bar higher each time. We are placing the SAHA brand among the top ranks of global defense literature. The operational efficiency of the SAHA Istanbul ecosystem is proven by a project volume of $14.3 billion managed by more than 88,000 qualified personnel and an export capacity exceeding $8 billion."

Bayraktar stated that the unprecedented product introductions, nearly 200 signing ceremonies and over 30,000 business meetings will leave a mark on the fair, particularly highlighting that FPV drone and UGV combat areas are where innovation is materializing. He noted that 192 official delegations from 76 countries across four continents were present at the fair, saying: "SAHA is now a global brand. From Europe to Asia, from Africa to America, every continent is looking to Istanbul today to follow technological developments and understand how defense needs will shape in the future."

Signed Agreements and the 81 Cities Drone Center Project

Haluk Bayraktar stated that the 173 signing ceremonies conducted during SAHA 2026 represent a total strategic business volume of $8 billion, with $6 billion directly focused on exports. Regarding the use of fair revenues, he said: "Every cent earned from SAHA 2026 will be reinvested for our national future. We will establish drone production and training centers in all 81 provinces of our country. We will build 81 centers, one in each province, with the largest in Istanbul. We will gradually construct infrastructure that will enhance the technological competence of our youth in this field and enable rapid production of millions of drones in emergency situations. Our goal is not only to produce technology but to cultivate a generation of technology users and developers."

Highlighting that Türkiye foresaw this disruption 20 years ago and took preventive measures, Bayraktar concluded his speech with the following remarks on the nature of the National Technology Initiative: "It is not capital-oriented but human-oriented. It rises not through greed but through equal opportunity. It is the embodiment of an understanding that defends justice, nurtures compassion, protects the oppressed and serves humanity. Ultimately, our path in the second century of the Republic is to produce technologies that begin with a dream and grow through the prayers of a nation, rise to the aid of the oppressed and stand against the oppressor. This path is the name of Türkiye’s self-confidence, our shared hopes and our ambition to reconnect humanity with its own values. We have succeeded together and will continue to succeed even more strongly. I extend my gratitude to all team members who contributed to this great gathering of the National Technology Initiative. With the deepest respect, I greet you all in the spirit of a fully independent, prosperous and just world."

Speech by Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, during his speech at the fair’s opening, noted that SAHA 2026 allows observation of the scale of the ecosystem, from the world’s largest defense industry institutions’ projects and systems to SMEs, research institutes and technology startups.

Kacır stated that a country’s security capacity is measured not only by its ability to protect its land borders, airspace and maritime jurisdiction but also by its technological dominance in cyber, digital infrastructure and space. He said that in the face of this new reality, countries are willing to bear much higher costs to enhance deterrence and meet defense needs. Kacır pointed out that global defense expenditures have increased by 41 percent over the last decade, reaching $2.9 trillion in 2025, and said: "Persistent geopolitical tensions indicate that this growth trend will continue. Building a comprehensive defense industry with R&D, test infrastructure, serial production capability and human resources is an indispensable condition for full independence and high deterrence. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye has always acted with this understanding. We have established a defense industry ecosystem in our country, which is rare in the world, by preparing long-term R&D, investment and supply plans and investing in qualified human resources."

Minister of Industry and Technology Kacır speaking at the SAHA 2026 fair opening, 5 May 2026 - (Anadolu Ajansı)

Local Content Rate and Exports in Defense Industry

Kacır stated that the share of local products in defense procurement has risen from the 20 percent range over the past 23 years to over 80 percent, noting that two out of every three military unmanned aerial vehicles sold worldwide are produced by Turkish companies and that Türkiye is among the ten countries that design, develop and produce their own warships. Regarding defense exports, he said: "Our defense exports, which were $248 million in 2002, surpassed $10 billion last year thanks to our active defense diplomacy and the global market-oriented approaches of our companies. We are currently the 11th largest defense exporter in the world. We know this momentum will continue to grow because our defense industry companies are continuously acquiring new capabilities and steadily expanding their production and technology development capacities. Türkiye is the solution partner that Europe, which is dependent on 80 percent of its defense products and seeks to strengthen its defense capacity against security threats, needs. Our sector is positioned to provide the solutions Europe’s defense ecosystem requires with its proven game-changing, high-tech and cost-effective broad product portfolio."

Kacır stated that any program excluding Türkiye would leave Europe facing strategic losses that are difficult to compensate for, and emphasized that European decision-makers must turn toward cooperation with Türkiye, adding: "Our production infrastructure meeting NATO standards enables Turkish defense industry products to be rapidly integrated into allied platforms. Through our incentive system over the past 23 years, we have opened the way for 1,112 defense industry investments totaling 460 billion lira. Since 2002, TÜBİTAK scholarship and support programs have provided 64.1 billion lira to 2,142 defense industry projects and 4,300 of our scientists and youth."

Minister of National Defense Güler speaking at the SAHA 2026 opening, 5 May 2026 - (Anadolu Ajansı)

Global Nature of Turkish Defense Products

Güler emphasized that Turkish defense industry products are not merely in catalogs but have proven themselves in the world’s most challenging conflict zones, saying: "Our national precision-guided munitions developed to NATO standards directly impact the military capabilities of armies with their low-cost advantage compared to foreign equivalents. In this era where economic cost has become an asymmetric weapon, Türkiye offers its allies not only weapon systems but also technology and a sustainable security economy. I am proud to say that this great transformation has also turned Türkiye into a strategic center shaping its new generation warfare concepts. Today, we are producing original, high-value-added solutions with intellectual property rights belonging to us in technologies we could only follow to a limited extent in the past."

Güler stated that sustainable defense power is not merely about possessing technology but about being able to deploy that technology in large quantities on the battlefield when needed, and noted: "Therefore, Turkish defense industry must maintain its serial production capacity at a level sufficient for its allies and accelerate efforts to combine it with mobilization flexibility. It must be remembered that standing still in this era means falling behind. Therefore, to prepare for asymmetric threats, we must rapidly elevate our capabilities in UAS and SİHA technologies, autonomous maritime and land platforms, and space and cyber warfare electronic warfare domains. The truth is that in today’s and tomorrow’s world, the center of power will be those who produce technology as pioneers and sign new discoveries."

New Product Launches (7 May 2026)

ASELSAN — FULMAR 500A AESA Radar and TOLUN Family Launch

ASELSAN unveiled for the first time on the third day of SAHA 2026 the FULMAR 500A and three variants of the TOLUN family (TOLUN-L, TOLUN-F, TOLUN EW).

The launch ceremony was attended by Air Force Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, SAHA Istanbul Board Chairman Haluk Bayraktar and ASELSAN General Manager (CEO) Ahmet Akyol.

FULMAR 500A AESA Radar

FULMAR 500A Radar was developed for integration into unmanned aerial vehicles such as AKINCI and AKSUNGUR, as well as manned combat aircraft. The system stands out for its ability to perform multiple missions with a single structure.

FULMAR provides comprehensive surveillance capability on the battlefield by simultaneously detecting and tracking surface, land and air targets, including unmanned surface vehicles and mines. The system enables high-range multi-target detection and tracking in air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. FULMAR can instantly identify moving ground targets and generate high-resolution ground maps using synthetic aperture radar imaging.

The system, which also has under-cloud imaging capability, draws attention with its high scanning speed, multi-target tracking and low response time thanks to its Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) architecture.

TOLUN Family — Three New Variants

TOLUN-L: A full-range munition carried via the SADAK 4T multi-carrier platform, featuring an integrated ANS-KKS and laser seeker head, and a particle-effect warhead of the 250 lb class. With its deployable wing structure used on UAVs, TOLUN-L has a range of over 50 km. Thanks to its laser seeker head, it enables precise engagement and low collateral damage against critical stationary or moving targets. With selectable impact angles, the system reduces sortie numbers and lowers operational costs.

TOLUN-F: In addition to its advanced features, it can be programmed from the cockpit to maximize destructive effect on the target. It includes a time-delay electronic fuze and a proximity sensor that detonates the warhead at a predetermined distance before impact. The particle-effect warhead detonates at a specific distance from the target to maximize damage against various target types.

TOLUN EW: A long-range full-range munition developed with national capabilities with electronic warfare capability. It is designed to remain airborne over a target for a specified duration to generate electromagnetic effects and, if necessary, engage the target. The system enhances effectiveness against air defense systems through jamming, deception and suppression features.

The products you see here are the results of a rapidly evolving design culture enabled by this new approach. ASELSAN is combining the power of sensors and munitions. With these products, Turkish UAVs are gaining laser designation capability twice as strong as before. These technologies will elevate Turkish UAVs to a different league globally. We are working as a team."

BMC — PAMİR 4x4 Cargo and Personnel Transport Vehicle

BMC Board Chairman Fuat Tosyalı announced that the PAMİR 4x4 vehicle, unveiled for the first time at SAHA 2026, is ready for delivery.

Tosyalı summarized the rationale for developing the vehicle as follows: "With the decline of the terrorism threat in Türkiye, a need emerged for lightweight armored vehicles capable of transporting personnel and cargo more agilely in the field. To meet this need, we developed the PAMİR 4x4. It will be a highly practical mobility solution in the field, on rough terrain and under all conditions — lighter, more economical and capable of transporting both personnel and light cargo."

Tosyalı emphasized that the PAMİR is not a prototype, stating: "This vehicle is not a prototype. All tests are complete and it is ready for delivery. We have unveiled it and are now presenting it to international buyers. Our forces have been testing it for a long time."

Tosyalı noted that the majority of BMC's Ankara tank and armored vehicle production complex has transitioned to 24/7 production. He confirmed that production of 8x8 armored personnel carriers has begun and that modernization of Leopard tanks is also being carried out at the same facility. Tosyalı also announced that BMC's 1500 horsepower BATU engine has passed NATO tests and received NATO certification, and that the engines are now in serial production.

Regarding the Ankara production complex, Tosyalı stated: "Our tank and next-generation armored vehicle production complex in Ankara has achieved 24/7 production capacity across nearly all units. We are delivering our tanks according to the planned production and delivery schedule. In addition, production of our 8x8 armored personnel carriers has begun. The modernization of our Leopard tanks is also being carried out here."

Regarding Türkiye's domestic electric vehicle TOGG, Tosyalı stated: "TOGG is clearly number one in electric vehicles and also leads in total sales. We are successfully continuing our goal to increase production from 40,000 to 60,000 units this year. The vehicles are not sitting in inventory — orders are currently being delivered two months ahead."

SYS Group — CANiK M3 FALCON Heavy Machine Gun

Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) unveiled its new-generation heavy machine gun CANiK M3 FALCON for the first time at SAHA 2026, and announced that overseas shipments have begun. Designed specifically to meet the demanding operational needs of aerial platforms, the new 12.7x99 mm heavy machine gun uses an open-bolt mechanism to prevent overheating.

SYS Board Chairman Zafer Aral explained the system's purpose and export process as follows: "The CANiK M3 FALCON was designed entirely to neutralize drones, particularly witness-type drones, from helicopters. Is it possible? Yes, it is actively in use. Witness drones fly at speeds of up to 250 km/h, and helicopters can easily match that speed. When radar detects these drones or UAVs, helicopters take off and open fire with FALCONs to completely neutralize them. Shipments are already underway. The first shipments went to Pakistan and Azerbaijan. This new warfare concept is being showcased and used for the first time. This is a new warfare concept. This need has just emerged and the solution has been developed using helicopters and FALCONs."

Aral confirmed that over 40 CANiK M3 FALCON units are being shipped for integration into more than 20 helicopters in Azerbaijan and that the first products have been delivered to Pakistan. In Türkiye, preliminary work has begun to integrate the system into the GÖKBEY helicopter, and tests have been completed in Konya with ASELSAN.

Regarding demand, Aral stated: "There was already a weapon. We developed it to make it easily usable on a helicopter." He also noted that demand began to emerge after the conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran, and that a solution was requested.

SYS also signed a significant agreement with Kosovo at the fair. Aral stated on this matter: "The agreement concerns arming Kosovo's existing armored vehicles. We have 30x113 mm cannons. Confidentiality and good faith agreements have been signed to initiate work on arming over 50 ground vehicles with turrets and 30x113 mm cannons."

Aral continued his assessment of the changing warfare concept: "The nature of warfare has changed. Wars are now being waged with low-cost unmanned land, sea and air vehicles and the most effective weapons they can carry. This is now the nature of warfare. Türkiye is today the only country in the world with this concept. Therefore, over the past six months — especially the past three months — we have been in constant contact with states ranging from Gulf countries to the Philippines and Indonesia, Malaysia and African nations, all seeking this new warfare concept."

The "Distributed Mobile Layered Air Defense Architecture" under the UNIROBOTICS brand also met visitors at the fair. This intelligent architecture, developed against modern drone threats, integrates TRAKON RCWS (Remote Controlled Weapon Systems), the CANiK heavy machine gun family and VENOM LR medium-caliber cannon systems into a single integrated network.

Panels and Conferences (7 May 2026)

"Türkiye's DSR Ecosystem and NATO Innovation Fund" Panel

On the third day of SAHA 2026, a panel titled "Strengthening Türkiye's DSR Ecosystem as a Security Anchor in an Increasingly Unstable Region: The Strategic Role of the NATO Innovation Fund" was held.

Panelists included Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Muhammet Kasım Gönüllü and NATO Innovation Fund (NIF) Board Chair Fiona Murray.

Gönüllü, in his opening remarks, noted that the global system is undergoing a fundamental transformation, stating: "The modern battlefield is increasingly defined by advanced technologies. Unmanned systems, AI-driven decision-making, cyber security, electronic warfare and space technologies are no longer merely complementary elements. They are decisive factors in achieving operational superiority. Today, real power is measured not only by the size of armed forces but by the capacity to design, develop, produce and effectively deploy advanced domestic technologies."

Gönüllü drew attention to Türkiye's global leadership in unmanned aerial systems, stating: "Platforms such as Bayraktar TB2, TB3, AKINCI, KIZILELMA, ANKA and AKSUNGUR have become internationally recognized benchmarks, not only for their technological advancement but for their proven combat performance. From our fifth-generation fighter KAAN and light attack aircraft HÜRJET, to our ATAK and GÖKBEY helicopters, our MİLGEM and TCG Anadolu naval platforms, our main battle tank ALTAY, and our Gökdoğan and Bozdoğan precision-guided missiles to layered air defense architectures such as HİSAR, SİPER and KORKUT, we have taken monumental steps. Today, Türkiye is not merely a participant in the global defense market but an active shaper of it."

Gönüllü highlighted the strategic importance of NIF and NATO's DIANA program for Turkish deep-tech startups: "NIF and NATO's North Atlantic Defense Innovation Accelerator (DIANA) program are two vital instruments shaping NATO's expanding innovation agenda. For Turkish deep-tech startups, these mechanisms unlock game-changing opportunities such as non-dilutive early-stage funding, strategic risk capital support, international visibility and direct access to NATO markets."

Gönüllü also noted that Türkiye's hosting of the NATO Summit in Ankara in 2026 will serve as a catalyst for concrete actions aligning innovation with allied defense needs.

NIF Board Chair Murray, commenting on Türkiye's defense industry capacity, stated: "Today, we see a country with over 3,000 defense and aerospace companies. With deep supply chains and massive production scale, Türkiye holds an industrial leadership position among NATO countries. I sincerely believe that NATO allies and partners have much to learn from Türkiye in integrating innovation ecosystems with large-scale production." Murray also shared that the dynamic workforce of 8,000 people with an average age of 29 has rekindled the innovation spirit she witnessed at MIT, and summarized NIF's mission as follows: "NIF's mission is not simply to invest and leave. Our goal is to scale entrepreneurs' solutions and ensure their adoption, procurement and use across all NATO countries. Technological superiority is not achieved through inventions alone but through the integration of innovation with serial production and industrialization."

"Defense Industry Collaboration in the Transatlantic Security Ecosystem" Panel

At the same day's panel titled "Defense Industry Collaboration in the Transatlantic Security Ecosystem: NATO Capability Development and Joint Production Opportunities under the European SAFE Framework", experts and officials emphasized that Türkiye's defense industry capacity will play a critical role in Europe's new security architecture.

Panelists included Digital Transformation Capital Partners Partner Ole Aguirre, Chatham House Economist Timothy Ash and Canadian Minister of Defense Procurement Stephen Fuhr.

Timothy Ash noted that NATO's current defense supply system is no longer suited to today's world, stating: "NATO's supply system today is not aligned with the world we live in." He described Türkiye's approach as follows: "Due to challenges and sanctions faced by Türkiye with NATO partners, it was forced to develop its own system. But today's picture is extraordinary. Look at the long-range missiles developed by ROKETSAN. Baykar's achievements are truly exceptional. European defense today has a fragmented and inefficient structure. In contrast, Türkiye's single-country, more autonomous defense model delivers highly effective results. NATO must learn from Türkiye." Ash, who identifies Finland, Germany, Poland, Ukraine and Türkiye as Europe's most effective future military powers, stated that Europe's future defense backbone will be shaped by countries like Türkiye.

Canadian Minister of Defense Procurement Fuhr emphasized that speed has become critical in defense, noting the growing gap between technology development cycles and traditional procurement processes: "As technology cycles shrink and procurement processes lengthen, we end up with slow systems that no longer have relevance on the battlefield." Fuhr emphasized openness to collaboration with Türkiye, stating: "There are very strong companies in Türkiye. We see serious synergy here. We do not have the luxury of developing everything ourselves over a 15-year period. Therefore, we must act quickly with reliable partners. Joint production and industrial collaboration will gain even greater importance in the coming period."

DTCP Partner Aguirre also stated that Europe's approach toward Türkiye in its security ecosystem must change, saying: "Europe is not ready for digital transformation. Europe needs Türkiye. I have worked with Türkiye's defense industry for many years and have been deeply impressed by its development. The war in Ukraine showed us that current NATO standards are inadequate against battlefield realities. We saw in Ukraine that NATO standards do not match the realities of war. This system must change." Aguirre also emphasized that in the future battlefield, data, artificial intelligence, sensor networks and digital infrastructure will become decisive factors.

"Global Air and Missile Defense Systems: Türkiye's Roadmap" Panel

At this panel held as part of SAHA 2026, the ÇELİKKUBBE integrated air and missile defense architecture and the status of domestic systems were discussed. Panelists included ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci, ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol and DELTAV General Manager Mehmet Kahraman.

İkinci noted that today air defense must address a wide spectrum of threats ranging from FPV drones to hypersonic missiles, adding: "You cannot respond to an FPV drone with missiles costing many times its value. That is not sustainable. Therefore, we must integrate cost-effective, threat-appropriate solutions within the same architecture." İkinci explained that ÇELİKKUBBE brings together missiles, radars, sensors and command and control systems operating at different layers, and noted that ROKETSAN contributes to this architecture with the HİSAR, SUNGUR, LEVENT and SİPER families.

İkinci emphasized the strategic importance of domestic and national production, stating: "In any conflict scenario, it is not feasible to source the missiles, product lines and consumables used in our air defense systems from abroad, and their stocks can be rapidly depleted. Therefore, it is critical for Türkiye to produce and develop its own technologies and munitions; otherwise, we cannot sustain ourselves."

Akyol stated that threats on the modern battlefield have become far less visible, faster and more intense, noting that ÇELİKKUBBE's foundation lies in this transformation: "Conventional threats are being replaced by stealth aircraft, hypersonic missiles, drone swarms and multi-pronged attack packages. In response, we are designing an architecture that integrates radar, electro-optical, electronic warfare, acoustic and space-based sensors." Akyol also noted that at SAHA 2026, new-generation electronic warfare and drone countermeasure systems were unveiled, adding: "We are strengthening ÇELİKKUBBE's lower layer with high-power microwave weapons, our new laser systems, the Gökalp interceptor drone and the Shotgun FPV countermeasure system."

DELTAV General Manager Kahraman emphasized that in the new warfare environment, defense alone is insufficient, stating that attack and defense elements must operate in an integrated manner: "ÇELİKKUBBE is so critical that we are working with our major companies as solution partners, particularly aiming to use our space domain products in the new versions of SİPER. We are reaching a point where we can apply our space technology capabilities to long-range and exo-atmospheric air defense systems."

The panelists' shared emphasis was on the strategic importance of domestic and national production in air defense. It was stated that externally dependent systems would not be sustainable in a potential conflict scenario, and that Türkiye's ability to produce its own missiles, radars, sensors and electronic warfare infrastructure is of critical importance.
